Nutcrackers entered the holiday tradition immediately following the giving of nuts, a nutritious treat that was easy to store. The utilitarian devices eventually took the form of dolls, inspiring Tchaikovsky's famous ballet and, now, the winter holiday association with nutcrackers as well dressed sentinels of the season. We decked out our nutcracker, named Henry, in bright colors and enchanting detail so he is well prepared to welcome family and friends to celebrate the season.
